Personal Statement

I always tell everyone that I have never found any job in ultrasound that I did NOT like. However, OB/gyn Sonography was where I began in 1976 at Parkland Hospital. I enjoy abdominal ultrasound, but the OB/gyn field and education has captured my interest to this day.

Dr. Hurst from Baylor Medical Center in Dallas was aware of my interest in Ob Sonography, and recommended that I lecture at the 2008 Southwest Regional Medical Conference in Dallas. I was immediately impressed with the loving, caring, spirit that I felt from the participants at this conference. Following the conference, Kay Morton RN, RDMS, requested that I begin some lectures and scanning labs at the El Centro College. I began two-day seminars that were directed to the RN’s. I have offered these seminars each year since 2009.

I began working on a regular basis with the Pregnancy Crisis Care Centers after my son adopted a baby boy. This baby was an answer to prayers from family and friends. I saw what a difference a child made to my son and daughter in law..

I retired as Program Director from the El Centro College Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in 2013. I started my own business that is now: Clearview Sonography.  I have decided to seek to fill this void with an emphasis on Ultrasound Education.  In addition, I have also been working with my daughter, Dr. Jana Bryant, DVM, to include Animal Ultrasound.
